Reclaimed Australian hardwood

The unique qualities of reclaimed timber provide a sense of warmth and connection to any space. Through its natural beauty and individual markers – timber not only ages gracefully but tells the stories of those who live, work and play alongside it.

In sourcing the best quality and local Australian hardwood, our desire is to create pieces that are as beautiful as they are functional. We embrace the authenticity of our timber and allow its true nature to shine through.

intense black

Add depth and quality to any contemporary home with our intense black finish. This provides a sleek all-black cover with subtle grains of Australian hardwood.

ash white

Our lightest timber. Clean, simple, unified. This species commonly includes Victoria Ash, Tasmanian Oak, as well as Oregon and Douglas Fir. We recommend a raw finish for these timbers in keeping with their muted tones.

GOLDEN BLONDE

Our brightest colour features an optimistic mix of warm and golden tones, which ensures a consistent grain element throughout the timber. This category commonly includes Spotted Gum, Messmate and Wormy Chestnut. We recommend a semi-matt finish to embrace a light and relaxed sensation.

sandy Brown

Featuring tones of amber and deep browns, this earthy option will leave you feeling grounded and connected. This category shows a likening to Black Butts and Tallo Woods. We recommend a semi-matt finish to maintain and support the natural, aged mood of the material.

deep red

While tones vary moderately, these timbers feature strong hues and shades of deep red. Species within this category are commonly Iron Bark or Red Gum. We recommend a satin finish to increase the oil concentration and allow the colours to truly stand out as intended.

Sun bleach grey

These dense Australian hardwoods have the best chance of surviving the local climate. While oil replenishing ensures these start out with a brown hue, over time this transforms into a beautiful grey reminiscent of sunburnt timber.

FINISHES

To protect our timbers, we coat all interior pieces in a clear hard wax oil that comes in four levels of sheen:

  • Gloss – indoor hard wax oil

  • Satin – indoor hard wax oil

  • Semi-matt – indoor hard wax oil

  • Matt – indoor wax oil

For completely exposed outdoor pieces we use an entirely oil finish.

  • Outdoor oil – decking oil

TINTS

As we love the natural colour and variation of our recycled timber, we don’t commonly use tints. We do however occasionally apply the following:

  • Raw – indoor hard wax oil. This interior hard wax oil features added soft white pigments to maintain an ‘unfinished’ timber aesthetic.

  • Intense Black – indoor hard wax oil. This spirit dye penetrates into timber providing a deep black coat and a hard wax oil finish.
